BAU 2027 in Munich: World's Leading Trade Fair for Architecture, Materials and Systems
BAU 2027 takes place from 11–15 January 2027 at Trade Fair Center Messe München in Munich, Germany. Organised by Messe München GmbH, the trade fair brings together architects, planners, developers, building trades and manufacturers to explore materials and systems for construction and renovation.
What Will Visitors Find at BAU 2027?
Across 19 halls, BAU covers facades, doors and windows, roofing, flooring, ceramics, glass, timber, metal systems, automation and digital construction tools. Architects can compare specifications, craftspeople examine installation methods, and developers assess building solutions.
The 2027 programme focuses on materials and resources, climate protection and adaptation, changing living spaces, and digitalisation and productivity, including BIM, artificial intelligence and digital twins.
The BLACK BOX in Hall B0 explores construction processes through immersive experiences and live content. A new interior-work area occupies part of Hall A4. Visitors can consult the exhibitor directory and hall plan to organise supplier meetings. The hall plan places architectural building materials in Halls A1 and A2, with modular and prefabricated building also represented in Hall A2.

What to Consider Before Designing Your BAU Stand
Building-products displays benefit from accessible samples, clear specifications, meeting space, demonstration power and secure storage. Large facades, doors and structural elements may require delivery and engineering coordination. Confirm load-bearing details and overhead suspensions before finalising stand graphics or product demonstrations.
Most halls allow setup 4–10 January 2027 and dismantling 15–19 January; Hall B0 follows different dates. Check hall-specific hours and vehicle rules in the organiser's Logistics & Traffic guidance.
Submit stand drawings for any required review by Messe München's Exhibitor Technical Services (TAS). Order utilities through the Exhibitor Shop after placement confirmation. Follow official instructions for freight, empty-container storage and applicable vehicle slots.
