New Delhi World Book Fair 2027: Asia’s Largest Book Fair Celebrates Its 54th
The New Delhi World Book Fair 2027 will run from 16 to 24 January 2027 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Organized by the National Book Trust, India. The 54th edition will occupy Halls 2–6 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily, bringing together books, publishing, rights exchange and literary programmes for trade visitors and the public.
What You Can Explore at New Delhi World Book Fair 2027
The fair’s categories include general publishing, children’s books, humanities, educational and competitive-examination titles, science and technology, and e-books and learning aids. Readers, students, teachers and librarians can use these categories to prioritise their visit.
Three programme areas serve different interests:
- Children’s Pavilion: storytelling, workshops and interactive activities for young readers.
- Authors’ Corners: book launches and conversations connecting authors, publishers and readers.
- New Delhi Rights Table: professional meetings on 18–19 January 2027, focused on translation and other publishing rights.
For families, choosing activities before browsing can help structure the day. Librarians and educators should prepare title lists by subject, language and age group, then record publisher contacts for follow-up.
Publishers seeking distribution or translation partners should arrange appointments separately from their retail activity. Bring a concise rights catalogue identifying available territories, languages and the person authorised to discuss each title.

How to Visit or Exhibit at New Delhi World Book Fair 2027
The New Publishing Standard reports that free visitor entry will continue in 2027. Check the official New Delhi World Book Fair website for current admission instructions before travelling; an exhibitor application is a separate process.
For exhibitors, the published registration window was 16 February–31 March 2026, followed by a 1–31 August 2026 payment window. Both dates have passed. Contact NBT about remaining availability or subsequent instructions rather than assuming new applications are still accepted.
Read the official 2027 exhibitor brochure for participation conditions. Official space allocation comes from the organiser; appointing a stall contractor does not secure exhibition space.
Before committing to production, establish your booking status, space type, dimensions and permitted alterations. Keep the organiser’s correspondence accessible to whoever manages your stand.
Preparing Your Booth for New Delhi World Book Fair 2027
Build your stand brief around how readers will browse and buy:
- Shelving: estimate book weight and display quantities; distinguish face-out titles from bulk stock.
- Circulation: keep browsing areas, checkout and author-signing queues from blocking one another.
- Replenishment: plan labelled cartons and reachable stock storage so staff can replace sold copies.
- Digital demonstrations: list screens, devices and connectivity needs before requesting utilities.
Check the contents of your booked stall package before ordering fittings. For a shared pavilion, agree how each publisher’s identity, catalogue and payment arrangements will remain clear to visitors.
The domestic brochure schedules possession from 12 January at noon for bare space, 14 January at noon for standard stalls, and 15 January at 2:00 PM for premium stalls, subject to the allotment letter.
It requires bare-space and standard-stall fabrication to be finished by 4:00 PM on 15 January, and constructed materials to be dismantled by 11:00 PM on 24 January 2027. Plan labour and transport accordingly.
