What Is SHOT Show 2027 and Why Does the Industry Attend?

SHOT Show is a business-to-business event, not a consumer exhibition. Its exhibit floors cover industry products and services including hunting and outdoor equipment, optics, accessories, apparel and law-enforcement or tactical equipment. Retailers, distributors, manufacturers, suppliers and eligible government professionals attend to assess products and business opportunities.

For exhibitors, the most useful question is which audience needs to see the products. A retailer comparing inventory has different priorities from a manufacturer sourcing components. Plan presentations and staffing accordingly.

Admission is restricted to eligible trade professionals and commercial buyers or sellers in the relevant industries. The general public cannot buy entry simply to visit. NSSF requires evidence of company eligibility and the attendee's employment or ownership connection, along with government-issued photo identification. Nobody under 16, including infants, may enter.

How to Register, Buy Tickets & Apply for Exhibitor Space

SHOT Show 2027 is a trade-only event requiring approved visitor registration. Eligible retailers, distributors, manufacturers, and law-enforcement professionals can register through the official SHOT Show registration portal.

Visitor badge prices vary by category and NSSF membership. Retailer and distributor badges cost $45 for members and $225 for non-members, while non-retailer badges cost $175 and $350, respectively. Applicants must provide proof of industry eligibility. Check the official badge fees and admission requirements before registering.

Companies planning to exhibit can apply through the NSSF exhibitor application. Booth allocation is subject to organizer approval and availability. Confirmed exhibitors can access the exhibitor directory and floor plan to review their hall location and booth details before planning stand construction.

Design Your Exhibit Around the Assigned Venue

The SHOT Bridge connects Venetian Expo Level 2 with Caesars Forum, but venue-service arrangements differ. Freeman is the official service contractor; Encore handles specified technical work at each facility.

Before approving a design, ask your contractor to confirm:

• Usable footprint, open sides and sightlines.
• Product displays, meeting areas, storage and circulation.
• Electrical loads, internet, lighting and assigned service providers.
• Structural drawings, rigging and required approvals.

NSSF’s October 2026 guidance allows hanging signs only for qualifying island or peninsula booths of at least 400 square feet, subject to venue restrictions. A 3D render is not permission to build.

SHOT Show 2027 Exhibitor Move-In, Freight and Dismantling Guidelines

Freight can go to Freeman’s advance warehouse (December 14, 2026–January 8, 2027) or directly to the venue at an assigned target time. Allow for marshaling, unloading and material handling before installation.

The 2027 rules list selected Venetian hall move-in from January 12 and Caesars Forum from January 16; assigned freight times still apply. On January 22, Venetian move-out starts at 5:00 PM and Caesars Forum lists 4:00 PM, although labor access is restricted until 5:00 PM. Check this distinction before arranging crews.

Compare itemized scopes, not just renderings. Quotes should assign responsibility for fabrication, freight coordination, graphics, installation, handover and teardown. Separate contractor fees from organizer-controlled material handling, electricity and rigging.
